About
Kelsey Boyle is a dancer, choreographer, and multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles, California. She began her relationship to movement as a gymnast in her childhood. After participating in Carolina Ballet's production of The Nutcracker as a gymnast, she soon realized that dance was where her true passion lied. She began her ballet training at thirteen years old, and went on to dance in acclaimed ballet company productions and training programs such as the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Graduate Program, and is a graduate of the Alonzo King LINES Ballet Training Program. In her professional life she has sought out the connection of her early gymnastics days and her repertoire of dance knowledge and training. To her, the marriage of power, strength, and fluidity are her biggest interests as a contemporary dancer. She finds deep satisfaction in taking on different characters, movement qualities, styles, and perspectives through dance. She loves performing in any respect whether it be on stage, on camera, or anything in between. She feels at home with an audience and a story to tell through language, movement, or music. In addition to dance, Kelsey is a bass guitarist. Connecting her musicianship with dance is part of her unique relationship to movement. She believes that dance should be empowering, informative, and always pushing forward to create a better environment for dancers and audiences alike.
