In addition to performing, Kelsey is an emerging choreographer. She began choreographing at the age of 19 when she was an instructor at Santa Barbara Dance Arts in Santa Barbara, California. Here she first choreographed on her students and fell in love with the process of creating dance, as well as collaborating with the dancers in the room and the patterns of movement they wanted to embody in their different experiences. In the past two years Kelsey has choreographed for three films, two music videos and one collaborative dance film, and has found a deep fascination with the marriage of film and movement. Linked below is her choreographic work in 'I Would Rather Never Feel This Way Again If I Could Help It', a 19 minute dance infused EP music video representing a young artist's journey through life. Kelsey will continue to choreograph as a means of expression, self study, and a vessel of storytelling to bring people together.
